FAMILY TOURISM – Singular tourism proposals.

Children are the central axis of family tourism. Often they are the ones who condition the holidays of their parents. One of its features is that the product is usually more important than the destination when making the travel purchase decision.

Family Tourism is one of the lines of work that has been launched with the creation of a Seal of Family Tourism that allows to distinguish and promote tourist establishments and destinations that bet on the family audience. It is about endorsing different establishments such as hotels, cultural centers, restaurants or tourist sites that have facilities and offers of activities designed for families.

The children are the axis of a key and strategic segment for the family tourism sector. In fact, half of the holiday tourists who travel to Spain are families, a proportion that rises to 60% in Catalonia, a pioneer in Europe in the creation of a certified brand of family tourism destinations, Family Tourism Destination (DTF) .

Museums in Barcelona

Barcelona’s museums offer a wide range of workshops and hands-on experiences that are constantly being updated, meaning that adventures are guaranteed for all the family on every visit. From sharing experiences with art, history and the humanities at Caixaforum, the Fundació Miró, the Museu Picasso and the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, to discovering science and the constellations at CosmoCaixa and the Museu Blau, and experiencing the world of sport at the Camp Nou Experience and the Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport.
