The public administrations and the tourist sector have worked to generate confidence and security for the traveller, both for those who have chosen to travel locally and for those who come from other countries. The main concerns of tourists and visitors are safety and health, which is accompanied by a certain amount of caution when choosing a destination. It is essential to generate tourist proposals based on value-added services that will generate confidence and security. The demand for activities linked to sustainability and carried out in a natural environment has grown this season. Sustainability is already part of the strategy of companies, not only those that are part of the tourist network, and it is a growing trend. Tourists and visitors are increasingly looking for more sustainable travel alternatives and services and suppliers that meet the requirements of environmental respect and sustainable mobility.

In the face of the uncertainty of being able to choose a holiday destination, travel ideas have emerged that meet the requirements of trust, safety and health. Catalonia’s tourist destination has a wide range of activities available for both residents and foreigners. It is a rich and diverse territory from the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean, which has an extensive artistic background, a broad cultural heritage and a highly regarded gastronomy, as well as a whole coastline where you can relax and enjoy beach activities.

In the hottest months, the activities near the sea and those that allow you to enjoy in a natural environment are the most demanded. Hiking in natural areas, adapted and marked itineraries, which are accessible to everyone. Performed routes by environmental educators and marked routes to enjoy the natural parks or long-distance itineraries to make a journey like Montseny, Montserrat and San Llorenç de Munt i l’Obac. This is one of the longest and most well-known routes, known as the Three Mounts Traverse with 106 kilometres of route. In the natural spaces of Catalonia there is a variety of landscapes that impresses. However, if you just need to rest, you don’t have to make much of an effort to be able to lie down and sunbathe in a good hammock or on a towel in the sand, accompanied by a good book.
